Samsung Unveils The Galaxy M, A New Range Of Smartphones To Face Xiaomi

Samsung Unveils The Galaxy M | Tech-Powers

Samsung seems to have been inspired by the Xiaomi formula to design its new smartphones, the Galaxy M10, and the Galaxy M20.

A few weeks before the release of the Samsung S10, Samsung unveils a new range of smartphones: the Galaxy M. And the competitor he targets with this new formula is Xiaomi. With its affordable smartphones, but with interesting data sheets, as well as almost premium designs, this Chinese manufacturer has managed to conquer the Indian market, one of the most important markets currently, in the field of mobile technologies. In 2017, Xiaomi would have exceeded Samsung, and kept this lead in 2018.

The response is Samsung Galaxy M smartphones, presented this Monday in India at a special event. The Galaxy M10 price starts at Rs.7,990 on the Amazon Indian site, while the price of the M20 starts at Rs.10,990 with an almost unbeatable value for money.

Samsung vs. Xiaomi

The Galaxy M20 has a 6.3-inch screen (1080 × 2340) with a ratio of 19.9: 9. Like most premium smartphones on offer today, the device has almost no fascias on the front. And the screen occupies 90% of the surface. For the front camera, the camera has a small V-shaped notch.

Under the hood, there is an Exynos 7904 processor, designed for mid-range smartphones (but not low-cost smartphones). And the user will have the choice between a model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, or 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of memory. The battery is also very interesting, with its 5,000 mAh. For photos, we have two sensors (13MP / F1.9 and 5MP / 120 °) on the back and a 13MP / F1.9 sensor that occupies the notch on the front.

The Galaxy M10 has a similar design in front, but with a smaller screen, a diagonal 6.22 inches. The processor is an Exynos 7870, offered with 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of memory, or 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The battery is 3,400 mAh. But while the M10's performance may seem inferior to that of the M20, both mobiles have similar designs and offer the same battery of photosensors on the back and front.

Price

Samsung Galaxy M20 comes with two variations which will cost at Rs.12,990 for 4GB + 64GB  variant and Rs.10,990 for 3GB + 32GB variant.

Samung Galaxy M10 also comes in two variants which will cost at Rs.8,990 for 3GB + 32GB variant and Rs.7,990 for 2GB + 16GB variant.
According to Samsung, these two target models especially the millennials in India. "Millennials represent 34% of our population. They are the alpha users of technology and mobiles. Whether for content consumption, social media or games. The new Galaxy Series series is specially designed for the young generation of India, for our millennials, "said a Samsung official in India.

For the moment, we do not know if the manufacturer plans to offer these smartphones in other countries.
